The Maskwacîs Education Schools Commission (MESC) brand is a unique school system. Our brand embodies the mission and vision we have for Maskwacîs students and MESC schools.

Communicating our mission and vision, along with the MESC foundational values in a captivating and consistent way allows us to achieve key objectives for the school system. It is a unified strategy that informs all levels of organizational planning and communications.

These brand guidelines are the fundamentals of our brand identity, messaging, and visual style. These guidelines outline the elements that uphold our brand image as well as practical examples of how to apply them in everyday use.

Brand Elements

Logo

This is the Maskwacîs Education Schools Commission (MESC) standard logo on a white background. It should be used on all external communications and any internal communications that require a more formal expression.

The logo consists of one typeface: Primetime Regular. The logo has a white outline.

Using the Logo

When using the logo, please give it space. This space is always required on print pieces. This “safe zone” unit is the height of the MESC text, on all four sides of the logo. Do not impose on this space. It allows the logo to stand out on the page.

Logo Colour Usage

For colour application, the MESC logo should always be used with the set corporate colours (spot or CMYK). Colour application should always be used on a white or light background.

For one colour application, the MESC logo should always be used with the MESC Turquoise or black version, unless otherwise approved. Both applications should always be used on a white or light background.

For dark backgrounds, the original MESC logo (with white outline) or white MESC should always be used.

Incorrect Logo Usage

Do not use White or Black MESC logo on busy background.

Do not change the colours of the MESC logo.

Do not use MESC logo with a white box around it. Please use original MESC logo with white outline.

Do not use MESC logo within any shapes.

Do not stretch the MESC logo.

Do not add or embellish the MESC logo with any drop shadows or other highlights.

MESC Turquoise is our main brand color and should be used in whatever you create. The MESC Turquoise can be used with any other brand color to add dimension, depth, and contrast. Our secondary palette can be paired with any of our main colours to provide accent.
