MESC Back to School Celebration and BBQ
With the support of the Maskwacis Director’s of Emergency Management (DEM’S), MESC is hosting a Back to School Celebration & BBQ for Maskwacis Families & students on September 1, 2021 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Nipisihkopahk Schools.
MESC is thrilled to welcome students back to school, to keep families safe for the event, MESC has taken the following precautions to ensure the highest level of safety and sanitation measures are in place for In Person Gatherings.
- All participants will be required to wear masks (provided) to attend the event as per MESC’s 2021-2022 Re-Entry Plan
- MESC has hired local Jani-King Custodial services composed of locally trained Maskwacis members to clean and disinfect high touch surfaces.
- Sanitizing gel will be provided at each activity with extra sanitising/hand washing stations at the BBQ
- Each celebration activity will be sanitised after each use with disinfectant
- Seating on all MESC shuttle will be socially distanced and disinfected after each ride.
- Each food item at the MESC BBQ will be individually packaged by MESC employees with food handling certification and abide by all Alberta Food safety regulations
- Approval from Michael McKnight on Alberta Food Handling Certification
- MESC staff have taken COVID-19 tests prior to returning to work for the safety of employees, students, and Nation members.
- In case of Emergency, Maskwacis Ambulance Authority will have a medic on standby and First Aid kits will be located at the MESC registration table
- There will be a limit of 150 people at the Celebration & BBQ at any given time. MESC Registration table monitor numbers.
